Raquel has pursued her love of image making by using the camera as a tool to capture and express ideas. For over ten years her focus has been natural subjects and wilderness areas. This focus has been sharpened by personal concerns about the importance of preserving the natural spaces on the urban fringe that are quickly disappearing. Raquel explores themes of fragility and impermanence through her images to voice these concerns. Currently Raquel runs a vibrant art, design & photography studio with her husband in the Western Cape.

Colin Stephenson

A young professional photographer with an academic background in Fine Art, Colin Stephenson is the co-director of CREATE DESIGN ™ an award winning photography and design studio in the Garden Route, South Africa.

Colin’s photography communicates a deep and abiding fascination with landscape. Over the past 14 years he has developed personal bodies of Southern African and European landscape imagery. In his work he embraces and explores both the traditional analogue and the experimental digital approaches to photography.

Colin has recently completed an Honours degree in Fine Art Photography through NMMU. His area of study explores the role landscape photography has played within raising environmental consciousness over the past century.

All the showcased bodies of work are available directly from the artist, contact him to discuss in more detail. Archival prints are available in limited editions in various formats.
